Various - Brazilian Beats Brooklyn CD
Bem-Vindo! Brazilian Beat Brooklyn is a weekly party thrown at a bar called Black Betty just over the East River from Manhattan, NYC, USA
DJs Sean Marquand and Greg Caz preside over the only long-running party stateside (5 years) to consistently play strictly vintage Brazilian records. In addition to the party and other DJ ventures, Sean is known as half of Embassy Sound Productions. He recently brought his team down to Brazil to help resurrect Black Rio legends Uniao Black for a new release. By invitation, Greg has DJ'd at some of the hottest Brazilian parties around the globe.
Included in this compilation of original 60's and 70's brazilian funk, soul and samba gems are some Greg and Sean's favorite tracks that have been filling dance floors over the past few years. Some of them are seeing their first official CD release. The music included in this compilation meets the same criteria as the songs you'd hear on any Sunday night at Black Betty: they move the crowd, and they're great songs.
