This release was not only the first on Mr Bongo but it was the first ever time that the classic Brazilian Batucada rhythm had been reworked and remixed.

The drum parts were recorded in the studio by Arakatuba (comprising Oli Savil, Bosco de Oliviera and Tristan Banks) then remixed by the Ballistic Brothers and Fila Brazilia.
