Dom Um Romao
Brazilian born Dom Um Romão is considered to be one of the greatest percussionists to have ever lived.
He began his career by helping Sergio Mendes record the version of the classic "Mas Que Nada" in 1962, used in the Ronaldo TV advert. His early career was spent collaborating with such legendary figures as Frank Sinatra, Astrud Gilberto, Jorge Ben, and Airto. He is better known as a founding member of the Jazz-Rock supergroup Weather Report.
This legendary performer released the solo album 'Rhythm Traveller' on MR BONGO in 1998 - recorded in Rio it features Nelson Angelo one of Brasil's greatest composers (known for his work with Joyce and Milton Nascimento) Xhiomara Brasil's greatest living bossa singer.
